Listen to Obituary

After several weeks of complications, Lexi passed away on February 13, 2026, at St Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma, surrounded by family, friends, and a phenomenal care team.

Alexus ("Lexi") Sacco was born in Wheeling, West Virginia, on October 1, 1994, to Jeff and Amie Sacco. Soon after, her family relocated to Plano, Texas.

Lexi graduated from Plano West Senior High School in 2013, before moving to Norman, Oklahoma, where she attended the University of Oklahoma. Lexi infamously loved the "Sphinx" sculpture by Fernando Botero that sits outside the Fred Jones Jr. Museum and credited it for her decision to attend OU. Lexi graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2017 with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology.

After college, Lexi moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in music. In 2020, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, Lexi briefly relocated to Waco, Texas, before landing in Deep Ellum, Dallas, Texas, a community recognized for its vibrant art and music scene. She produced lo-fi electronic house music under the name PVLMS (pronounced "Palms") from 2016 to 2021, withperformances at The Hollywood Rooftop Restaurant & Bar by Madame Tussauds, Los Globos, Club Dada, The Nines, Three Links, Backwoods Music Festival, Norman Music Festival, and local Norman hangs like The Resonator, and many more.

In addition to her own music, Lexi frequently listened to Molchat Doma, Cocteau Twins,Eyedress, and a variety of music her mom shared with her, like the Carpenters. At the end of 2021, Lexi moved to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. There she met the love of her life, Ary, with whom she has been ever since. The two had plans to get engaged and move to Austin, Texas, where her brother, Guy, resides with his fiancée, Sam.

Lexi was a talented multi-disciplinary artist. She was an avid photographer, illustrator, graphic designer, and digital content creator. Her creativity extended to her hobbies. She was a prolific reader, film critic, fashion aficionado, sweater thrifter, Potterhead, and a lover of all people and cats. She worked at Half Price Books for several years, taking advantage of the employee discount there to continue building her book collection before transitioning to a stint at the Cat Cafe, where she was surrounded by her favorite animals.

Lexi did not care for material belongings, aside from art, books, and vinyl records, but her most prized possession was a fifteen-year-old purse made of bottle caps. She said that "the people recognized it," so she couldn't stop wearing it.

According to Lexi, Jesus Christ was a "cool guy." In recent years, she began attending the Unitarian Universalist Church alongside her partner, Ary. Lexi was baptized at St Francis Hospital, something she would have been proud to share.

Lexi was authentically herself all of the time. She never shied away from giving her opinion or telling you she thought yours was wrong. Lexi had a smile that made you instinctively smile back. She was a brilliant, deeply sensitive, sweet, and kind-hearted person, with a sarcastic, dark-witted, deadpan sense of humor that you could hardly believe came from the same person. Many people claim to want the best for others, but Lexi genuinely had no other way of thinking or being; she wanted everyone to succeed and have the time of their lives. Her ability to love and show up for others was among her greatest strengths.

Lexi was preceded in death and reunited with her mother, Amie Sacco; grandfather, Harold Sacco; and grandmother, Rose Ann Snyder.

She leaves behind her father Jeff Sacco; brother Alec "Guy" Sacco; soon to be sister-in-law Sam Vannoy; life partner Ary Fraga; grandmother Carolyn Sacco; grandfather William Sacco; step-grandmother Kathryn Shaw Sacco; uncles Marc Sacco, Michael Sacco, Roger McDaniel, and William McDaniel Jr.; aunts Anne Simmons, Paula Sacco Bubulya, Kathy Sacco, and Elizabeth ("Liz") McDaniel; cousins Skyler, Alayah, and Alahnii McDaniel; Tavion, Tevon, Ayanna, and Jaquan Minor; Chandler and Meraia McDaniel; Selenia Campbell; Jazmyne and Dakotah Sacco; Austin, Ryan, and Zackery Simmons; and Anna and Sophia Bubulya; best friends Katherine Haven and Kaitlin Owen; and numerous other family members and friends.

There will be a Celebration of Life in Austin, Texas, in the coming weeks. More details to come.
