Alice Janette Walden, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at home on June 21, 2026, surrounded by the love of her three sons. She was 66 years old.
Alice was born on July 30, 1959, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Harold Freeman and Deloris (Cole) Freeman. She was lovingly named after her maternal grandmother, a connection she carried proudly throughout her life.
After graduating from high school, Alice began a dedicated career with Arrow Engine Company, where she worked for 24 years. She was known for her strong work ethic, dependability, and the friendships she built along the way.
Alice found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved sewing and crocheting, creating treasured items with her hands and heart. She took great pride in caring for her houseplants, nurturing them much as she nurtured those she loved. She also enjoyed traveling and making memories with her family. Her oldest son, Jason, fondly remembers the family's annual trips to Daytona Beach for nine consecutive years. Packed into a conversion van, they would spend hours on the road together, stopping along the way to share meals before continuing their adventure. Those trips became cherished memories that reflected Alice's greatest priority in life—her family.
Of all her accomplishments, Alice was most proud of being a mother. Her three sons, Jason, Justin, and Jacob, were the center of her world. She celebrated their successes, supported them through life's challenges, and loved them unconditionally. Her love only grew as her family expanded, and she adored each of her grandchildren. They brought her endless pride, joy, and laughter.
Alice will be remembered for her kind heart, quiet strength, unwavering devotion to her family, and the love she freely gave to those around her. Her presence brought comfort, and her memory will continue to be a blessing to all who knew her.
She is survived by her sons, Jason Walden and wife, Shandi Evans; Justin Walden and wife, Rebecca; and Jacob Walden; her beloved grandchildren, Jason Chase, Bailey Walden, Jada Walden, Jace Walden, Jordan Walden, Jayden Walden, Sunny Walden, and Jody Walden; her siblings, Maryann (Morrison) VanMeter, Charles Morrison, Norma Gragg and husband Clifford, and Robin Mayo and husband Jess; spouse, George Walden, as well as many other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold Freeman and Deloris (Cole) Freeman.
Though her family grieves her passing, they find comfort in knowing that the love, laughter, and memories she created will remain in their hearts forever. Alice's legacy lives on in the family she cherished and the countless lives she touched with her love.
