Dr. Angelo Joseph "A.J." Majike, age 32, passed away on January 20, 2026, at his residence in Ada, Oklahoma.
Angelo was born on April 11, 1993, in Middletown, Connecticut, to Laura Crespo Majike and Steven Majike. From an early age, A.J. displayed a deep sense of responsibility, compassion for others, and a quiet determination that would shape both his character and his calling.
He graduated from Collinsville High School in 2010 and went on to earn dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Biology and Chemistry from Northwestern Oklahoma State University in 2013. A.J. fulfilled his lifelong calling to medicine by completing his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at the Arkansas College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2024 and achieving Board Certification as an Osteopathic Physician and Surgeon on October 14, 2025. He found his own healing through serving others and was devoted to caring for his patients as a compassionate physician and surgeon at the Chickasaw Nation Medical Center, where he was deeply committed to the wellbeing of those he served and his colleagues.
Known as a gentle giant, A.J. was protective of those he loved, careful and thoughtful in his words, and remarkably intelligent in all that he pursued. His work was truly his life's passion. He approached medicine with humility and purpose, guided by a sincere desire to serve, to heal, and to make a lasting difference in the lives entrusted to his care. Those who knew him will never forget his unmistakable laugh-a deep, joyful bellow that could shake the walls and fill any room with warmth-an echo of the love and light he carried within him. At home, he found comfort and joy in the quiet companionship of his beloved rescue cat, Joy, whose presence brought him peace and whose life reflected his deep compassion for all living creatures.
He is survived by his loving mother, Laura Crespo Majike; his father, Steven Majike; his brothers, Steven and Alexander; and his special nephew, Blake, who dearly loved his "Uncle A.J." He is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, colleagues, and his cherished cat Joy, all of whom will forever remember his kindness, dedication, resonant laugh, and quiet strength.
