Betty Jane Salt

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Betty Jane (Little) Salt on August 30th, 2026. Betty was 81 and fought a short battle with dementia.

Betty considered herself lucky to have traveled the world while she was a child with her parents as they had engineering projects in the Panama Canal Zone; Crete, Greece; South Carolina; and finally ending up in the Niagara Falls, New York area. There she met her to be husband, Ron Salt. They too traveled around the country until ending up in North East, PA when Ron worked at Welch's Foods. After many years, they moved to Allen, Texas, where they remained for over 30 years. Betty worked for Allen Public Schools, finally retiring as a Buyer for the district. She spent the last several years in Tulsa, Oklahoma to be closer to family.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Jennifer (David) Noland-Salt; Benjamin Roop, grandson; and Jack Roop, grandson. She is preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Ronald Dewey Salt; and her parents, Dean Little & Lily (Guymon) Little.
