Brenda Joan Andrews Simmons, known to her family and friends as Joan Andrews Simmons, passed away, leaving behind cherished memories with those who knew and loved her.

Joan was preceded in death by her brother, Lowell Andrews; her sister, Patty Suzanne (Andrews) Hurley; her father, Earl Lester Andrews; and her mother, Margaret Andrews.

Throughout her career, Joan worked in Client Services at AAA and later shared her love of beautiful things through her work in jewelry sales. She worked at Derry Berry Jewelry and at Dillard's, where she worked at the fine jewelry counter.

Joan enjoyed many creative and meaningful hobbies. She loved gardening and found joy in working with plants and watching things grow. Her husband had a passion for Turkish rugs, and Joan found her own creative way to enjoy them, transforming the rugs into unique purses and stockings. She also enjoyed participating in craft shows alongside her mother, Margaret, creating special memories together.

Horses were another important part of Joan's life. Her parents raised Quarter Horses at Cottonwood Stables, a tradition that continued with her daughter. Joan loved attending horse shows with her family and sharing in their love of horses. These experiences gave her many treasured memories with the people closest to her.

Joan will be remembered for her creativity, her love of gardening and horses, her appreciation for beautiful things, and, most importantly, the time she shared with her family. The memories she created through her work, hobbies, and family traditions will continue to be treasured by those who knew her.

Interment will be at Oglesby Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
