Brian Patrick Hughes

Brian Patrick Hughes, 60, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully in his home on September 17, 2026. Brian was born on February 21, 1966, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Brian graduated from Bishop Kelly High School in Tulsa, and the University of Notre Dame. He remained a proud supporter of the Fighting Irish throughout his life.

Brian's adventurous spirit was reflected in his passion for food, design and travel. In 2019, Brian and his husband Jason were entrusted with the ownership of Queenies, a beloved cafe and bakery in Tulsa. Brian's vibrant energy and big smile filled the restaurant on a daily basis as he fostered meaningful and lasting relationships with customers and coworkers. Outside of Queenies, Brian loved laughing with family and friends, traveling the world with his husband, mountain biking, and walking his dogs Dugal and Fintan.

Brian is survived by his husband, Jason Glass; his mother and father, Marsha Moore Hughes and James (Pat) Patrick Hughes; his sisters Ellen (Robert) Michaels, Sara (Rich) Hathcoat, and Melissa Gandall; and his nephew and nieces, Forrest, Allene, Emma, Claire, Pearl, and Breck. Brian also leaves behind more than fifty coworkers at Queenies, each of whom he considered to be a part of his family.

A celebration honoring Brian's life will be held on October 5, 2026 at American Solera Brewery in Tulsa beginning at 4:00 p.m. All who loved Brian are welcome to attend.
