In Loving Memory of Camille Renee Cox
October 15, 1971-June 25, 2025
With profound sorrow and aching hearts, we announce the passing of our beautiful daughter, Camille Renee Cox, who left us far too soon at the young age of 53.
Camy was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she lived her entire life. She loved being with people and never met a stranger. She had a generous heart and gladly shared what little she had with anyone who needed a little help to get through their day.
She was a dreamer in a world that could often be harsh. Camy had a quiet strength, and though her journey was marked by deep struggles with her mental health, with expectations too high, and pain often unseen - she walked her path with grace, humor, and courage.
Camy fought harder than most will ever know. She tried, again and again, to find light in the darkness. And in the end, though she left us too early, she leaves behind not failure but a legacy of bravery, authenticity, and the reminder that every life - no matter how troubled - holds beauty, worth, and meaning. If she had any weakness at all, it was her insatiable desire to be free. Today she is free, and soars in the presence of those who loved her and preceded her in passing.
She is survived by her parents, Barbara and Dave Cox; her younger sister, Tiffany Sill; and her young nieces Harper and Delaney Sill.
A private memorial will be held later this week. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to mental health organizations that work to bring hope and healing to others walking difficult roads, as did Camy, including Tulsa Alliance for the Mentally Ill, and Family and Children's Services/PACT Team.
Rest gently now, sweet girl. You were so very loved - more than you ever knew.
