David Edward Kennedy

David Edward Kennedy, born September 14, 1954, passed away on October 19, 2026, leaving behind a family and many loved ones who will forever cherish his memory.

David was a mechanic by trade, a calling that reflected his ability to work with his hands and fix the things that needed fixing. He also devoted 32 years of service as a volunteer firefighter with the Rock Fire Department, giving his time to help others and serve his community. His dedication and willingness to serve were a meaningful part of the life he lived.

Outside of his work and service, David enjoyed hunting and fishing, finding joy in the outdoors. Most importantly, David loved sharing about Jesus. His faith was an important part of his life, and he found meaning in sharing that love and hope with others.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Billy Joe and Rosellen Kennedy.

He is survived by his brothers, Bill Kennedy and wife Sharon of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, and Jeff Kennedy and wife Alfreda of Pensacola, Oklahoma; his daughters, Krystal Chase and husband John of Skiatook, Oklahoma, and Rebekah Duffendack and husband Derrick of Amarillo, Texas; and his beloved grandchildren, Bryson, Johnathon, Alysa, Kaden, Kenley, and Kylie. He also leaves behind a host of other dear family members who will continue to hold his memory close to their hearts.

Though David's passing leaves an ache in the hearts of those who loved him, the memories he created, the service he gave, and the faith he shared will continue to live on through the lives he touched. He will be remembered with love and missed more than words can express.

A funeral service to honor and celebrate David's life will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at Lake Church in Mannford, Oklahoma.
