Denise Lanette Dawson, 63, passed away on January 15, 2026, at St. John's Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Denise was born on March 27, 1962, in Concord, California, to Glen and Ione Dawson. She lived her life with a gentle spirit, a creative soul, and a deep capacity for love and care.

She was the devoted mother of her beloved son, Glenn Alex Dawson, known as Alex, who was the center of her world. Denise and Alex shared a close and tender bond built on affection, comfort, and countless quiet moments together. She showed her love through her attentiveness, her warmth, and the way she found joy in the simplest things and invited Alex to see that beauty with her.

Denise had a love for painting and crochet, often expressing herself through art and handmade creations. She also delighted in nature and the small wonders outside her windows-pointing out deer or armadillos at night and spending time watching raccoons wander by, greeting them fondly as familiar visitors. These moments reflected her caring heart and her ability to find joy and peace in everyday life.

Above all, Denise was deeply loving and compassionate. She gave of herself quietly and selflessly, often carrying burdens she did not share, always thinking of others before herself. Her son finds comfort in knowing that she is now free from suffering and at peace.

Denise is deeply missed and forever loved. Her memory lives on in the heart of her son, who loved her with all his heart and will always carry her presence, her kindness, and her love with him.

She is survived by her son, Alex.
