Donna Lea D'Apolito

Donna D'Apolito (née Johnson), 79, of Jenks, Oklahoma, was born on August 11, 1946, in Seattle, Washington, to JD and Emma Johnson. She passed away on July 27, 2026, in Jenks, Oklahoma, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, resilience, and selfless devotion to others.

Raised in the Mormon faith, Donna carried a spirit of kindness and service throughout her life. She had a natural gift for caring for others and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph D'Apolito, and her eldest daughter, Ginger O'Haver. She is survived by her children, Patrick O'Haver of Sapulpa, Charlyne Goff of Tulsa, and Deanna Moon and her husband, Mark Moon, of Tulsa. She also cherished several "adopted" family members who, though not related by blood, held a special place in her heart and remained part of her family throughout her life.

She was a proud grandmother to Summer O'Haver, Robert Goff, Matthew Mayberry, Shawna Cowles, and Cheyenne Carter, as well as beloved "granddaughters of the heart," Erica Hollingsworth and Heather Bittner. She was also blessed with numerous great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to her life.

Donna enjoyed crocheting, researching genealogy, and reading. She spent countless hours tracing family history and creating handmade gifts for those she loved. Her home was always shared with beloved pets, especially cats. Throughout her life, Donna embraced a variety of professional endeavors, including owning and operating both an answering service and a ceramics business.

More than any occupation or hobby, Donna was defined by her caregiver's heart. Throughout her life, she devoted herself to caring for loved ones during times of need, giving her time, energy, and unwavering love. She was always there when her children, grandchildren, family, and friends needed support, often placing their needs before her own. Her generosity, kindness, and willingness to help others left a lasting impression on anyone fortunate enough to know her.

Donna will be deeply missed by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and friends. Her memory will continue to live through the stories shared, the family connections she cherished, and the love she gave so freely throughout her life.

Services will be held at Fort Gibson National Cemetery on August 17, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. Family and friends are invited to attend as they gather to honor her.
