Hellen Roberta Howard

Hellen Howard was born on November 17, 1937, in Corpus Christi, Texas. She graduated from Central High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and went on to attend Blackwell School of Nursing in Blackwell, Oklahoma. After earning her nursing degree, Hellen dedicated her career to caring for others, first at St. John's Hospital and, following her retirement, at St. Francis Continued Care.

Hellen loved the Lord with all her heart, and her faith in Jesus guided her throughout her life. She found joy in music, shopping until she dropped, beautiful jewelry, roses, good food, and especially dessert. She was known for speaking her mind with honesty and love. She never missed an opportunity to tell her family how much she loved them and how proud she was of them. Her daughters will always remember one of her favorite reminders: never leave the house without lipstick and blush.

Hellen was preceded in death by her parents and her four siblings, Wanda, Lucille, Carl, and Bud.

She is survived by her three children, Theresa Mason, Edwina Russell, and Aaron Howard; five grandchildren, Adam Hurley, Adrian Cobbs, Leslie Moore, Jody Moore, and Haley Messimore; five great-grandchildren, Karsyn Foster, Zoe Moore, Devon Walla, Kaden Walla, and Blake Stroble; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Hellen's legacy is one of faith, compassion, strength, and unwavering love for her family. Though she will be deeply missed, those who knew and loved her take comfort in the promise of seeing her again.

This isn't goodbye-it's simply, "See you later."--
