Listen to Obituary

Patsy Ann Davis, 78, passed away on March 9, 2026.

She was born on April 15, 1947, in Boonville, Missouri, at St. Joseph's Hospital, to James M. Hendrix and Maxine (Whitten) Hendrix. In 1960, her family moved to Fulton, Missouri, where she attended Fulton High School and graduated in 1964.

Following graduation, Patsy began working for Boyd & Boyd as a title abstractor. She dedicated an extraordinary 57 years to her profession, becoming highly respected for her knowledge, diligence, and commitment to her work. She retired in 2020 and later moved to Oklahoma.

Patsy married Terry Lynn Davis in 1987, and together they shared many years of life and family.

Outside of work, Patsy was known for her love of games and friendly competition. She especially enjoyed playing cards and board games with family and friends-and more often than not, she would come out the winner. During the 1980s she was very active in her community, volunteering with the Millersburg 4-H Club, the McIntire Elementary School PTA, and the Lions Club Women's Auxiliary. She valued community involvement and the friendships formed through those activities.

Those who knew Patsy will remember her sweet disposition, her remarkable patience, and the deep love she had for her family. She had a steady and caring presence in the lives of those around her, always ready to listen, help, or simply spend time together.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James M. Hendrix and Maxine (Whitten) Hendrix. Patsy is survived by her husband, Terry Lynn Davis; her children, Jondell Ritchie (Chad), Julie Weston (Terry), Jason Davis, and Jessica Council (Jeff); her grandchildren, James Houchins, Nicole Ahne (Marissa), Chloe Weston (Abbie), Madison Ritchie, Tyler Wood, and Lillian Council; and her great-grandchildren, Samara Houchins and Jackson Wilson.

Patsy will be remembered for her dedication to her work, her competitive spirit at the card table, and most of all the kindness and love she shared with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
