Richard (Rick) was born January 28, 1949 at Mercy Hospital, Arkansas City KS. Rick passed away peacefully Feb, 8, 2026 in Tulsa, Ok.

Rick was reared in rural Newkirk, OK on his family's farm. He graduated from Braman High School in Braman, OK May 1967. He pursued higher education, studying Pre-Law at NOC in Tonkawa, OK. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Education at the University of Tulsa, Tulsa, OK and an Associate of Business and Accounting from the Oklahoma School of Accounting Law and Finance, Tulsa OK.

Rick had a long career working for several oil companies as well as working in radio and television. He also worked for the Tulsa Public School system as well as the Broken Arrow Public School system from which he retired.

Rick enjoyed the arts, he was an avid painter sculptor and musician he also enjoyed acting and storytelling.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Eva Christensen sisters Phyllis, Dolores, and Marlene as well as brothers Paul and Roland.

Rick leaves behind several nieces and nephews who loved him very much.

Cremation has taken place and there will be a Memorial Service for him on March 7, 2026 at 2:00 pm at Hope Cemetery in Arkansas City KS, at the corner of 31st and 312th road "West of Arkansas City, KS."
