Richard G. Miller, lovingly known as "Rick," age 77, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, passed away on October 24, 2026. He was born on May 15, 1949, in Prescott, Arizona, to Lawrence and Betty Miller.

A proud Navy veteran, Rick served during the Vietnam War. He later spent ten years working at Disneyland, continuing a family tradition. During his time there, he worked in several departments, including staging and costumes, and created the A&W Root Beer bear mascot. His years at Disneyland gave him plenty of stories to tell, and those memories became part of the family history his loved ones will continue to share. After his time at Disney, Rick worked as an electrician and project manager until his retirement. A hardworking man who rarely sat still, he was always fixing something, building something, or dreaming up his next project. When Rick set his mind to something, he was determined to see it through.

Family was at the heart of Rick's life. He was a devoted and hands-on father who was actively involved in every part of his children's lives. He coached each of his children, never missed an opportunity to show up for them, attended father-daughter dances and parent-teacher conferences, and helped with school science experiments. He loved playing games with his children and taking them camping, hiking, and fishing. Rick made the time to be present, involved, and supportive, creating memories with his children that they would carry with them throughout their lives.

One of the most important chapters of Rick's life was the family he built with his first wife, Margaret Miller, the mother of his children. Together, they shared 39 years of marriage and an amazing, wonderful life together, raising their children and creating a lifetime of memories. Their years together helped shape the family that remained one of Rick's greatest legacies. Margaret's place in his life and in the story of their family will always be an important part of his memory.

In 2008, Rick met Loretta, and they married on July 26, 2016. They resided in Northern California, where Rick enjoyed the mountains and the beauty of the outdoors. They loved traveling together, especially visiting the piers of San Francisco and walking among the towering redwoods. A few years ago, they moved to Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, where they continued building memories together. They enjoyed watching their beloved Dodgers, spending time with their dog, sharing friendly banter, and gathering with family. It was in these everyday moments, filled with laughter, companionship, and time spent with the people they loved, that they shared the simple joys of life together.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Betty Miller, and his first wife, Margaret Miller.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Loretta; his sister, Linda Elphinstone, and her husband, Dave; his children, Lynn Malia and her husband, Patrick, Jennifer Parmelee and her husband, Todd, and Thomas Miller and his wife, Sandy; his grandchildren, Kirstyn Miller, Meagan Cox, Ricky Miller and his wife, Sarah, Renick Miller, and Steven Miller; and his great-granddaughter, Marley Addiego. He is also survived by his bonus children, Sherry Wright, Justin Pool and his wife, Jessica, Joshua Pool, and Anthony Soto.

Though Rick will be deeply missed, the life he lived, the family he helped build, and the memories he created will continue to live on for generations. He will forever be remembered and loved by those whose lives were made better simply because he was part of them.
