Susan Hilbert, born May 21, 1977, left this earth on September 16, 2026, to go to her heavenly home.

Susan was one of a kind-a woman with a big heart, a strong personality, and a whole lot of love to give. She was a loud and proud OSU Cowboys fan, always cheering on her Cowboys with her pistols firing! Her love for OSU was just one of the many things that made Susan uniquely Susan.

Susan loved her work at A New Leaf, where she was known for being a dedicated and incredibly hard worker. She was the kind of person who would jump in wherever she was needed-and sometimes she was doing everyone's job! She gave her time, energy, and heart to the people around her, and her presence at A New Leaf will be deeply missed.

Susan was preceded in death by many friends-friends who were so much more than friends to her. They were the people she called family, and she carried those relationships with her throughout her life.

She leaves behind a family that extends far beyond blood relatives. Susan is survived by her beloved A New Leaf family, who loved her deeply; her Spectrum family; her Grace Hospice family; and the many, many friends whose lives she touched along the way.

Susan's absence will leave a hole in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be remembered for her fierce loyalty, hard work, big personality, love for her Cowboys, and the countless friendships she made along the way.

Though Susan has left us here on earth, we find comfort knowing that she has made it home. May her heavenly home be filled with the friends and family who went before her-and may those of us left behind keep her memory alive, one story, one laugh, and one "Go Pokes!" at a time.

Rest peacefully, Susan. Your pistols may have stopped firing here, but your spirit and memory will live on in all of us who loved you. Go Pokes!
